Caleidophonic is a duo formed by Hervè Delucchi (sound design, synthesis, programming) and Mattia “Timmy” Colombo (violins, keyboards). The project was born in 2017 with the aim of merging classic atmospheres with psychedelic / experimental music. The sound of Caleidophonic is inspired both by the post rock atmospheres and by the sounds present in the soundtracks, all expressed in an electronic experimentation key, with evident influences related to trance music.
Hervè Delucchi, former producer since 2001, was a prolific progressive / psy trance artist both with the duo Razael & Hervè and with Prime. He is currently working as a solo artist exploring new horizons in the field of electronic music. Mattia Colombo (aka Timmy) graduated in violin and theory at the Conservatory of Italian Switzerland. He plays in various orchestras (Lugano chamber orchestra, United Soloist) and has participated as a guest with various groups related to progressive and post rock music. He took the road to electronic music. After several experiments in this field, he decides to join Hervè Delucchi to found Caleidophonic.
Caleidophonic wants to combine introspection and sonic emotions created by listening to a live concert with the lightheartedness and freedom generated by the rhythms of electronic music. Like a kaleidoscope, which shows unimaginable worlds through a simple tube, we want to express our concept of music in the most colorful and varied way possible, accompanying the listener through unexpected and varied rhythmic and sound universes.
