(Morbio Inferiore - Switzerland)

Some time ago the soundscape of this location was constantly populated by the deafening sound of the sirens, announcing the explosions. The roars made the ground vibrate, so much that the houses in the area shook, often causing their walls to crack. All this happened to extract the rock from the mountain, which was then processed to be transformed into grains, used for the production of cement. An uncomfortable situation for the locals and for the location itself, which was eventually freed from the curse to become one of the most interesting and evocative protected natural treasures in southern Switzerland.

"Roots in the Concrete" is a representation of the historical elements of this magical place, in terms of sound. Visitors are invited to expected the unexpected and help to generate sounds that will be included in the performance, simply by rubbing a rock installed on the outside of the tower.
